RESEARCH INTERN

I obtained my bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Xiamen University in China. I am curious about everything, and am especially fond of exploring different methods used to synthesize, purify and analyze chemical compounds. Because of COVID-19, I was not allowed to perform any experiments while doing my bachelor’s thesis. Instead, I therefore reviewed synthetic methods for palladium-based alloy nanosheets, and their catalytic performance in electrocatalytic oxidation of common organic small molecules. I wandered around different branches of chemistry, from photoelectric catalysis to lithium storage, and now peptide synthesis and flow chemistry. Currently, I am pursuing my master’s degree in chemistry at UZH.

Outside of work, I enjoy hanging out with friends, cooking, and taking care of my vegetables planted in small flower pots and waste plastic bottles.
